🎾 Guess What?! You Can Still Get Wimbledon Tickets for 2025– Here’s How!

If you thought getting Wimbledon tickets without winning the ballot or booking hospitality packages was impossible, think again.
Every July, thousands of fans join a uniquely British tradition: The Queue – this is your best chance to experience Wimbledon without having pre-bought tickets especially if you are on a budget. We joined The Queue on Day 2 and even scored Centre Court resale tickets for just £15 to watch Djokovic vs. Muller!
In this blog, we’ll share exactly how to get Wimbledon tickets (even last-minute!), what to bring to The Queue, tips for scoring resale tickets, and why this is one of the best London summer events in July 2025.

Step 1: Arrive Early to The Queue
The Queue is legendary, and arriving early is your best shot at getting the tickets you want. We arrived at 4:00am equipped with picnic blankets, pillows, and snacks, and we were still number 2,642 in line!
Best Time to Join The Wimbledon Queue:
For Ground Passes, arriving between 4–5am should hopefully secure your spot for ground passes. Generally, 9500 ground pass tickets are released for The Queue each day.
For Centre Court, No. 1 and No. 2 Court tickets, plan to arrive super early or even camp overnight - we saw campers arriving at 9am for the next day's Queue. Apparently only 500 of those tickets are released for The Queue.
🎫 You’ll receive one Queue Card per person upon arrival which holds your spot until the gates open. We were told that a person could only leave The Queue for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Step 2: Embrace the Experience
Waiting in The Queue is an essential part of the Wimbledon cultural experience in London. Don’t think of it as just a line - think:
A great atmosphere in a peaceful park
Fellow tennis fans sharing stories and food
Anticipation building as the sun rises
Meeting people from all around the world
The line begins moving around 8:30am, and by 10:30am, we were inside with our £30 Wimbledon Ground Passes. The entire process is friendly, respectful, and very well organised.

Step 3: Use the Wimbledon App for Resale Tickets
One of the most underrated parts of the day? The Wimbledon resale tickets via the official app.
Here’s how it works:
Download the My Wimbledon app and register.
Once inside the Queue Village, go to the resale ticket stand
Have your My Wimbledon QR code scanned
Choose which court you want (Centre, No. 1, or No. 2)
Get placed on a digital waiting list
TOP TIP: If you're attending with a friend, one of you should register for Centre Court tickets and the other for No. 1 or No. 2 Court tickets to maximise your chances!
Step 4: Watch Your Phone Like a Hawk 👀
Upon receiving the text for resale tickets, you have a 20-minute window accept on the app, and then a further 10 minutes to reach the ticket resale stand inside the venue next to No. 1 Court and finalize your purchase. We received the text notification just 10 minutes before the Djokovic vs. Müller match began in Centre Court!
Wimbledon Resale Ticket Prices:
Centre Court: £15
No. 1 & No. 2 Courts: £10
All profits go to charity
If you're wondering how to get Wimbledon tickets without booking in advance, this is literally your golden ticket.

Step 5: Soak Up the Tradition
The beauty of Wimbledon goes far beyond tennis. It’s a celebration of British culture, perfect for cultural travelers. You’ll enjoy:
🍓The fresh Wimbledon strawberries and cream tradition (ONLY £2.70)
🍹 A glass (or two) of Pimm’s on the lawn
📣 Fans cheering from the Henman Hill (or Murray Mound!)
🌞 A joyful atmosphere of shared summer vibes
Even if you only have a Wimbledon Ground Pass, you’ll still catch world-class tennis on the outside courts and big screens (courts 18 and 12 are great, with courts 4-11 packing a unique vista of action). You may even be lucky enough to get a signature from your favorite players!

Final Thoughts
Wimbledon is one of the top cultural experiences you can have in London - especially during the summer. And yes, you can attend without spending a fortune.
From queueing at sunrise to watching legends on Centre Court, this was a day I’ll never forget. If you're travelling to London in July, don’t miss Wimbledon - it’s sport, culture, and tradition all rolled into one.
📌 Quick Recap:
Arrive early (3–5am ideal for ground passes, but much earlier for show courts)
Pack smart: blanket, food, sunscreen, power bank (check the weather!)
Download the Wimbledon App and register for resale
Watch for that 20-minute resale text
Soak up the full Wimbledon experience – tennis, treats, and tradition
